Having the Two Moors Festival headquarters smack-dab in the middle of the glorious Exmoor countryside is really rather amazing. We do count ourselves very lucky indeed that, when the working day is done, we can down tools and head out into the fresh air with festival dog Flora and tramp around the hills and dales, blowing all the cobwebs away.
There are so many great walks to go on in this part of the world, whether you fancy heading off to Tarr Steps or going for a long stroll through Doone country – if hiking is a great passion of yours, then you really do need to make your way to the Westcountry as soon as you can.
If you can’t decide where to walk, then the National Trust might be able to help you make up your mind. The organisation has just this week launched a campaign to find the ten best walks in the UK – and we know that the number one spot is sure to be found somewhere on Exmoor or Dartmoor.
Head to the National Trust website to register your favourite walk and you’ll be entered into a competition to win a stay in a holiday cottage. You have until November 4th to do so, so go, go, go!
