We’re huge fans of Dame Evelyn Glennie here at the Two Moors Festival, not least because she’s the first musician ever to enjoy a very successful career as a solo percussionist.
Which is why we were so interested and pleased to hear that the great dame herself will be available for an online chat on ClassicFM.com, taking all your questions, from 09:00 on Wednesday, November 28th.
You certainly shouldn’t be short of questions to ask Dame Evelyn – she’s led such an interesting life and has had so many amazing musical experiences. After graduating in 1985 with an honours degree from the Royal Academy aged 19, she was later awarded Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2007 and led 1,000 drummers at the opening ceremony of this year’s Olympics in London. She’s also worked with the likes of the Kings Singers, Bjork, Sting and DJ Yoda – so you should have plenty to talk about!
